31 patients with a femoral neck fracture scheduled for hemiarthroplasty were randomized to completion of surgery using either an intraoperative limb measurement and osteotomy device combined into one tool (ILMOD), or using a standard osteotomy guide alone. Patients were assessed on postoperative radiograph at 1 month for leg length discrepancy (LLD). Results demonstrated a significantly smaller LLD in the ILMOD group compared to the control group with the standard osteotomy guide.
