Sixteen randomized controlled trials including 589 patients with knee osteoarthritis were analyzed in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing whole-body vibration training (WBVT) plus conventional rehabilitation exercise versus rehabilitation exercise alone. Pooled outcomes included knee pain, muscle strength, balance, functional mobility, and disability (WOMAC). WBVT significantly reduced knee pain and improved isokinetic knee peak torque, with high-frequency WBVT showing greater pain reduction. No significant differences were found for WOMAC scores, functional mobility (TUG, 6MWT), or balance (BBS). Overall, adding WBVT may improve pain and muscle strength in KOA, but effects on broader functional outcomes remain uncertain.
