Effectiveness of tele-rehabilitation after total hip replacement: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Ten studies, including 632 patients undergoing total hip replacement, were analyzed in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing tele-rehabilitation to face-to-face rehabilitation. Pooled outcomes included the Get-Up-and-Go test, functional questionnaires (e.g., HOOS, HHS), compliance, and patient satisfaction. Tele-rehabilitation demonstrated significantly better outcomes in the Get-Up-and-Go test but showed no significant differences in other functional tests or questionnaires compared to face-to-face rehabilitation. Compliance rates were higher in the tele-rehabilitation group. These findings suggest that tele-rehabilitation is a viable alternative to traditional rehabilitation methods, with similar efficacy and enhanced compliance.
