One hundred one patients with calcaneal fractures were randomized to receive either accelerated rehabilitation surgical nursing (n=51) or conventional surgical nursing (n=50). The primary outcome of interest was nursing satisfaction. Secondary outcomes included visual analog scale (VAS) pain scores, swelling reduction time, hospital stay length, and complication rates. Outcomes were assessed up to one month postoperatively. Overall, the results revealed that accelerated rehabilitation nursing significantly improved patient satisfaction, reduced pain scores, shortened swelling reduction time, and lowered complication rates. This study suggests that accelerated rehabilitation nursing can enhance recovery and improve perioperative outcomes for patients with calcaneal fractures.
