Effect of Kinetic Control Retraining on Neck Proprioception and Function in Cervical Radiculopathy: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

44 patients with chronic unilateral cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were randomized to receive kinetic control retraining (KCR) + conventional physical therapy (CPT) or CPT alone. The primary outcome of interest was pain severity assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Secondary outcomes of interest included Arabic Neck Disability Index (ANDI) score, cervical joint position error, and deep neck flexor performance. Outcomes were assessed at baseline and after 8 weeks of treatment. Overall, the results of the study revealed that both groups improved after treatment, but the KCR group had significantly greater improvements across all measured outcomes. These findings suggest that adding KCR to CPT may improve pain, proprioception, and functional performance in patients with chronic cervical radiculopathy.
