The effects of end-range interventions in the management of primary adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Ten randomized controlled trials including 424 patients with primary adhesive capsulitis were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing end-range manual therapy versus other conservative interventions. Pooled outcomes of interest included pain intensity, shoulder abduction, internal rotation, external rotation, and physical function. The meta-analysis showed that end-range mobilization techniques resulted in significant improvements in pain, shoulder abduction, external rotation, and physical function in the short and medium term. However, the certainty of evidence was very low. These findings suggest that while end-range interventions show potential benefits, further high-quality research is needed to confirm their efficacy.
