Comparison of cognitive functional therapy and neurofeedback training on kinetic gait in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain: a randomised controlled trial.

60 patients with chronic non-specific low back pain were randomized and analyzed to receive cognitive functional therapy, neurofeedback training, or control. The primary outcomes of interest were pain intensity, disability scores, and kinesiophobia. Secondary outcomes included vertical ground reaction force parameters during gait. Outcomes were assessed at baseline and after 8 weeks. Overall, the results of the study revealed that both cognitive functional therapy and neurofeedback training significantly improved pain, disability scores, and kinesiophobia compared with control, while cognitive functional therapy produced significantly greater improvements in gait kinetic parameters than neurofeedback training.
