Dry needling in lateral epicondylitis: a prospective controlled study

OE Journal. 2018;6(5):6 Int Orthop. 2017 Nov;41(11):2321-232592 patients with lateral epicondylitis were randomized to intervention through either dry needling or a combination of ibuprofen and proximal forearm brace wear. Patients were assessed at 3-week and 6-month follow-up using the Patient-Rated Tennis Elbow Evaluation (PRTEE). Scores on both the pain and function sections of the PRTEE significantly favoured the dry needling group compared to the NSAID plus brace group at 3 weeks and 6 months.
