Conventional En Masse Repair Versus Separate Double-Layer Double-Row Repair for the Treatment of Delaminated Rotator Cuff Tears

OE Journal. 2016;4(16):15 Am J Sports Med. 2016 May;44(5):1146-52.115 patients with delaminated rotator cuff tears were randomized to undergo surgical treatment with either separate double-layer repair compare or conventional en masse repair for the purpose of comparing postoperative pain, function, and range of motion throughout a 12-month follow-up period. Results demonstrated significantly decreased VAS pain scores for patients in the double-layer group, though all other clinical outcomes and measurements of range of motion were comparable between study groups throughout the observational period.
