Simple Decompression Versus Anterior Subcutaneous and Submuscular Transposition of the Ulnar Nerve for Cubital Tunnel Syndrome: A Meta-Analysis
J Hand Surg Am. 2008 Oct;33(8):1314.e1-12.The current meta-analysis considered 10 studies comparing simple decompression, subcutaneous transposition, and sub-muscular transposition for the treatment of cubital tunnel syndrome (CTS). This study concluded that there was no significant difference between the difference surgical techniques for CTS. There was, however, a positive trend towards improved clinical outcomes with transposition as opposed to simple decompression.
