Evaluation of the effectiveness of three physiotherapeutic treatments for subacromial impingement syndrome: a randomised clinical trial
Physiotherapy. 2016 Mar;102(1):57-6399 patients with subacromial impingement syndrome were included in the study and randomized to one of three treatments: conventional ultrasound, dexketoprofen via iontophoresis, or dexketoprofen via phonophoresis. All three interventions were administered in combination with exercise and cryotherapy. The purpose of the study was to determine if dexketoprofen administered via one of these two techniques was superior to conventional ultrasound therapy in this setting. The study found that pain and function improved in all three groups, with few differences between groups.
