Clinical outcomes after arthroscopic acetabular labral repair using knot-tying or knotless suture technique

33 patients (40 hips) scheduled for arthroscopic acetabular labral repair were randomized to undergo the surgery using either knotless suture anchors or traditional knot-tying suture anchors. The purpose of this study was to compare operative (traction) time between groups and evaluate clinical & radiographic outcome at a minimum of 2-year follow-up. Results on operative duration demonstrated no significant difference between groups. At final follow-up, no significant differences were found in any clinical outcome score, and no patient in either group demonstrated radiographic osteoarthritis progression. Both groups demonstrated significant improvements in clinical outcomes scores over the follow-up period.
