Physiotherapy as an Initial Treatment Option for Femoroacetabular Impingement: A Systematic Review of the Literature and Meta-Analysis of 5 Randomized Control Trials
5 studies were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing patient reported outcomes in patients with femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) receiving structured physiotherapy or unmonitored, unstructured physiotherapy. PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library were searched for relevant articles. Pooled results revealed significantly favourable patient reported outcomes in the structured physiotherapy group compared to the unstructured group.
