Prospective clinical study comparing anteromedial portal versus transtibial technique for femoral tunnel positioning in hamstring ACL reconstruction

96 patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction were randomized to determine if there were any clinical difference in femoral tunnels created through either the transtibial or anteromedial portal techniques. Following assessment over 24 months postoperatively, results indicated that there were no significant differences between the two techniques regarding condition-specific quality of life or knee function.
