2014 Joint COA/AOA Meeting: Implant Migration Over One Year of Shape Match-Derived Kinematic Alignment Versus Conventional Alignment Using Computer Navigation for Total Knee Arthroplasty in a Randomized Trial

OE Journal. 2014;2(12):2838 patients were randomized to undergo cruciate-retaining, cemented total knee arthroplasty with either patient-specific cutting blocks, or computer navigation. This study aimed to compare outcomes of radiostereometric analysis and health outcome questionnaires. Results at 1 year postoperative indicated similar implant migration, EuroQOL five dimensions questionnaire (EQ-5D) scores, Oxford Knee scores, satisfaction, pain, and range of motion between groups despite differences in planned and actual alignment in the patient-specific group.
