COA 2023: Traditional vs. Enhanced Fixation Designs of a Novel Cemented TKA Tibial Component .
Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Traditional Versus Enhanced-Fixation Designs of a Novel Cemented Total Knee Replacement Tibial Component
44 patients with end-stage knee osteoarthritis scheduled to undergo a total knee arthroplasty procedure were randomized to receive either the original Attune tibial baseplate or the Attune S+ tibial baseplate featuring a backside surface design and a surface finish. Outcomes of interest included baseplate subsidence and patient-reported outcomes measures, assessed up to 24 months post-operation. No differences in tibial baseplate subsidence and all patient-reported outcome measures were found between the two groups, suggesting comparable stability between the original and new model.
