2020 COA Annual Meeting: Two Year Results of Lumbar Disk Arthroplasty: a Canadian Spine Outcomes Research Network (CSORN) study (COA HSP15)

OE Journal. 2020;8(13):15Ninety-seven patients undergoing lumbar disc arthroplasty for the treatment of symptomatic degenerative disc disease were analyzed in this study assessing 1- and 2-year post-operative clinical outcomes. Outcomes of interest included back pain, complication rate, Oswestry Disability Index scores, quality of life measures, and patient satisfaction. Results of the study found lumbar disc arthroplasty to be an effective treatment for symptomatic degenerative disc disease, improving pain, function, patient satisfaction, and quality of life, with a low rate of device-related complications.
