COA 2013: Comparison of different fusion treatments for patients with spondylolisthesis .
Posterolateral fusion versus posterior circumferencial fusion in the lumbar spondylolisthesis: A meta analysis from 17 comparative studies
4 RCTs and 12 comparative observational studies were included in this meta-analysis that compared posterolateral fusion (PLF) and posterior circumferential fusion (pCF) in the treatment of spondylolisthesis. Results of this meta-analysis demonstrated that when compared to the other treatment option, posterior circumferential fusion (pCF) lead to improved clinical satisfaction, postoperative back pain, and fusion rates following surgery. Complication rates, reoperation rate, blood loss, and operating time were found to be similar between the posterior circumferential fusion and posterolateral fusion treatments.
