Therapist supervised clinic-based therapy versus instruction in a home program following distal radius fracture: A systematic review

Data from 7 randomized controlled trials examining 381 patients after a distal radial fracture was analyzed to determine the efficacy of rehabilitation at the clinic or at home. The evidence presented in this systematic review indicated that patients who had suffered a distal radius fracture benefited equally from treatment in the form of a home program, or supervised clinical therapy. The authors made note that the current evidence did not suitably represent the patient population with co-morbidities or complications seen by therapists following a distal radius fracture.
