Capsular Repair Versus No Repair After Hip Arthroscopy in Patients Without Dysplasia or Generalized Ligamentous Laxity: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.

3 studies with 322 patients undergoing hip arthroscopy without dysplasia or generalized ligamentous laxity were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing capsular repair to no repair. Pooled outcomes of interest included patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) at 6 months and 2 years, including the modified Harris Hip Score (mHHS), Hip Outcome Score–Activities of Daily Living (HOS-ADL), and Hip Outcome Score–Sport-Specific Subscale (HOS-SSS). Pooled results indicated significantly higher postoperative PROMs for the capsular repair group at both time points.
