No difference in clinical results between femoral transfixation and Bio-interference screw fixation in hamstring tendon ACL reconstruction- A preliminary study
Knee. 2008 Jun;15(3):174-9. Epub 2008 Mar 2530 patients presenting with a chronic unilateral tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) were randomized to compare the clinical and mechanical outcomes of two different methods of femoral fixation. Patients underwent fixation using either Bio-interference screws or Bio TransFix femur extra cortical transverse fixation. At an average of 13 month follow-up, there were no differences in IKDC scores, side to side laxity, or complications between the two interventions.
