The effect of Xbox Kinect intervention on balance ability for previously injured young competitive male athletes: a preliminary study
Phys Ther Sport. 2014 Aug;15(3):148-5563 previously injured young competitive male athletes were included in this study to evaluate the effectiveness of an exergaming (exercises through video games) program on balance ability in comparison to conventional physiotherapy. The results from this study indicated that both interventions provided an improvement in overall stability and limits of stability scores, while the exergaming intervention enjoyment rating was greater than traditional physiotherapy. Exergaming interventions appear to be a viable and enjoyable option for intervention in this patient demographic.
