50 patients with arthrocsopically confirmed unilateral ACL rupture were randomized to undergo reconstruction with middle third PT graft or the synthetic Leeds-Keio ligament graft. At the end of 5 year follow up, the overall functional outcome and patient satisfaction in patients undergoing Leeds-Keio (LK) ACL repair were found to be similar to the traditional autogenous patellar tendon ACL reconstruction.
