Aquatic Exercise Impact on Pain Intensity, Disability and Quality of Life in Adults with Low Back Pain: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Biol Res Nurs . 2023 Oct;25(4):527-541.14 randomized controlled trials (484 patients) comparing aquatic exercise against a control were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis. Outcomes of interest included pain on a Normalized Pain Scale (NPS), normalized disability scale, and Short-Form-36 (SF-36) physical and mental component score. All outcomes favored the aquatic exercise group when compared to the control.
