Pain evaluation after all-inside anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and short term functional results of a prospective randomized study

46 patients scheduled for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction were randomized to undergo surgery using either the all-inside technique or conventional technique. The purpose was to compare postoperative pain between the two techniques at 1 month following surgery, and measures of radiographic and functional outcome at 6 months. The results indicated lower pain with the all-inside technique, however the assessment was underpowered. Functional outcome was similar between the two techniques.
