Acupotomy in the treatment of tenosynovitis of hand flexor tendons: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Medicine (Baltimore). 2022 Nov 11;101(45):e31504.Eleven randomized controlled trials with a total of 828 patients were included in this meta-analysis comparing acupotomy vs. conventional therapy for the treatment of tenosynovitis of the hand flexor tendon. The outcomes of interest included effective rate, cure rate, and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain scores. The results of this study found significantly favourable pooled effective rate, cure rate, and VAS pain scores in the acupotomy group vs. the control group. No safety outcomes were assessed.
