Achilles tendinopathy: No difference between AirHeel brace, eccentric training and both .
This study has been identified as potentially high impact.
OE's AI-driven High Impact metric estimates the influence a paper is likely to have by integrating signals from both the journal in which it is published and the scientific content of the article itself.
Developed using state-of-the-art natural language processing, the OE High Impact model more accurately predicts a study's future citation performance than journal impact factor alone.
This enables earlier recognition of clinically meaningful research and helps readers focus on articles most likely to shape future practice.
A Prospective randomized study comparing the therapeutic effect of eccentric training, the AirHeel brace, and a combination of both
Am J Sports Med. 2007 Oct;35(10):1659-67. Epub 2007 Jun 14100 patients were randomized into one of three groups for the treatment of Achilles tendinopathy. The groups were either eccentric training, an AirHeel brace treatment, or a combination of both. The primary outcomes were pain and funtion and the results indicated that the AirHeel brace treatment was as effective as the eccentric training. There was no synergistic effect seen when the two interventions were combined.
