Early Mobilization Following Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair; A Single-Blind, Randomized Control Trial
206 patients scheduled for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were randomized to either early shoulder mobilization after surgery or sling immobilization for the first 6 weeks after surgery. Patients were assessed over the first 24 months postoperatively. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups for either pain, patient-reported function, range of motion, shoulder strength, health-related quality-of-life, or the incidence of re-tear.
