2017 AAOS Annual Meeting: Kinematic Alignment Does Not Put the Tibial Compoent in Total Knee Arthroplasty at Risk for Early Aseptic Loosening: Results from a RSA RCT of Patient-specific Cutting Blocks Versus Computer Navigation

OE Journal. 2017;5(7):851 patients scheduled for total knee arthroplasty were randomized to either a kinematic alignment strategy using MRI-based patient specific instrumentation or to traditional mechanical alignment strategy using computer navigation. Patients were assessed for implant migration over the first 2 years postoperatively using radiostereometric analysis. Results demonstrated no significant difference between groups in maximum total point motion after 2 years.
