2014 AAOS Annual Meeting: Autograft vs. Allograft ACL Reconstructions: A Prospective, Randomized Clinical Study with Min. 10 - Year Follow Up

OE Journal. 2014;2(6):54100 knees from 99 patients were randomized to ACL reconstruction with the use of either autografts or allografts. The purpose of this study was to assess and compare the long-term results of the aforementioned interventions. Results at a minimum of 10 years revealed over 80% success rates and similar single assessment numeric evaluations. However, allograft use was associated with failure rates that were 3 times higher compared to autograft use.
