28 inexperienced residents were randomized to prepare for closed reduction and percutaneous pinning of a pediatric supracondylar fracture surgery test, using either a textbook supplemented with an e-Learning module, or with a textbook alone to see whether e-Learning can improve performance and reduce anxiety. In a 60 minute test results and effectiveness survey, residents in E-learning group demonstrated better test scores, more confidence, and comfort with the surgical procedure.
