2024 AAOS Annual Meeting: Bone-marrow stimulation for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair: a meta-analysis of randomized control trials

OE Journal. 2024;12(4):33Seven randomized controlled trials (576 patients) comparing bone-marrow stimulation (BMS) to a control for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were included in this meta-analysis. Outcomes of interest included retear rates, Constant scores, and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) scores. 18.8% of patients treated with BMS and 21% of patients in the control group had a retear, which was not statistically significant. The average Constant score and ASES scores were also not significantly different.
