2016 AAOS Annual Meeting: Comparison of Osteochondral Autografts and Allografts for Treatment of Talar Osteochondral Lesions

OE Journal. 2016;4(6):1840 patients with large or recurrent osteochondral lesions of the talar dome (OLT) were randomized to receive treatment with either osteochondral allograft or autograft plugs. The purpose of this study was to determine if either graft procedure was associated with significantly improved pain, function, and radiographic measures when assessed after final follow-up. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in the studied outcome measures.
