2016 AAOS Annual Meeting: A Five-Year Prospective Randomized Study of Anatomic Single vs. Double Bundle ACL Reconstruction

OE Journal. 2016;4(5):55103 patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with hamstring tendon autografts were randomized to receive either single- or double-bundle anatomic reconstruction. The purpose of this study was to compare these methods at 5 years, in terms of clinical and radiographic outcomes. The results displayed no significant differences between treatment groups at 5 years in terms of functional tests, range of motion, pain, osteoarthritis, or knee laxity.
