108 scheduled for total knee arthroplasty were randomized to undergo the surgery with either the use of custom cutting blocks (Visionaire; Smith & Nephew) or conventional instrumentation. The purposed of this study was to compare alignment, operative time, hemodynamic, and functional outcomes between groups. No significant differences between groups were observed for alignment, hemodynamic or functional outcomes. The custom cutting block group was associated with a significant shorter mean operative time by 11 minutes when compared to the conventional instrumentation group.
