Functional and radiologic results of the crimson duvet procedure in rotator cuff treatment: a randomized controlled clinical trial

研究概要

One hundred and twenty-three patients with a rotator cuff tear were randomized to receive either a complete rotator cuff repair with a crimson duvet procedure (n=62) or complete rotator cuff repair alone (n=61). The primary outcome of this trial was to assess the nonhealing rate via MRI or ultrasonography. The secondary outcomes of this trial were to assess shoulder function (American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Standardized Shoulder Assessment Form (ASES) score, Constant score, and range of motion). The results of this trial showed no significant differences in nonhealing rate between the two treatment arms after 12 months.
