OE Journal. 2015;3(20):34 Acta Anaesthesiol Scand. 2015 Jul;59(6):698-709.Six trials examining continuous epidural analgesia (CEA) and other analgesic interventions were included in this meta-analysis. The purpose of this study was to determine the possible benefits and consequences of CEA, in comparison to the other analgesic methods to treat rib fractures. No significant differences were observed between groups in terms of mortality, development of pneumonia, and mechanical ventilation duration.
