Effects of low back pain stabilization or movement system impairment treatments on voluntary postural adjustments: a randomized controlled trial

33 patients with a history of chronic low back pain (LBP) were included in this study to evaluate the efficacy of stabilization or movement system impairment treatments. The purpose of this study was to measure outcomes of a 6-week stabilization or movement system impairment-based exercise treatment on the anticipatory postural adjustment (APA) of individuals that reported chronic LBP during an unsupported leg raise and supported leg raise task. The findings demonstrated improvement in impaired APA after implementing stabilization or movement system impairment-based exercise treatments, but no significant differences were found between the two groups.
