Femoral fixation of hamstring tendon grafts in ACL reconstructions: the 2-year follow-up results of a prospective randomized controlled study
Knee Surg Sports Traumatol Arthrosc. 2014 Sep;22(9):2153-62. doi: 10.1007/s00167-013-2652-3. Epub 2013 Sep 5.110 patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction were randomized to receive femoral fixation of the hamstring tendon graft using an EZLoc Femoral Fixation Device or a Bone Mulch Screw. The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of the two femoral fixation devices. Both devices achieved similar clinical results, knee scores, and muscle strength two years post-surgery, but patients in the EZLoc group required significantly less operating time.
