OrthoEvidence Journal (OE Journal) - ACE Report
OE Journal. 2014;2(16):23 J Physiother. 2014 Jun;60(2):90-6148 participants, between the ages of 18 and 80 years, who had been experiencing low back pain for at least 3 months, were randomly assigned into 1 of 2 groups, an intervention or sham, to determine the effect skin convolution Kinesio Tape (applied over each erector spinae muscles) had on pain and disability. Results from the study indicated that the application of skin convolution Kinesio Tape had no significant effect on pain or disability at 4 or 12 weeks. A small but significant difference was found in favour of patients who received convolution intervention when comparing global perceived effect of the intervention on patients to those in the control (sham) group at 4 weeks.
