Does press-fit technique reduce tunnel volume enlargement after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with autologous hamstring tendons? A prospective randomized computed tomography study
Arthroscopy. 2013 Jan;29(1):83-8. doi: 10.1016/j.arthro.2012.07.00769 patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction were randomized to evaluate whether the press-fit technique reduced tunnel volume enlargement (TVE) and improved clinical outcome compared to a conventional technique. Patients were assessed at the 1 year follow-up using both clinical and computer tomography outcomes. There were no significant differences at the follow-up in regards to tunnel volume enlargement or clinical outcomes between both groups.
