50 patients suffering from femoroacetabular cam impingement were randomized to receive arthroscopic offset correction using either a computer assisted or non-assisted method. The results from this study indicated that both procedures improved the alpha angle and pain scores; however, no differences existed between groups at an average follow-up of 26 months. This study indicated that the computer assistance did not provide any additional benefits to the surgical procedure.
