Posterior-Chain Resistance Training Compared to General Exercise and Walking Programmes for the Treatment of Chronic Low Back Pain in the General Population: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
OrthoEvidence Journal (OE Journal) - ACE Report
OE Journal. 2021;9(8):21 Sports Med Open. 2021 Mar 8;7(1): 17.研究概要
Eight studies containing a total of 408 patients with chronic low back pain were included in this meta-analysis comparing posterior chain resistance training (n=203) to general exercise interventions (n=205). The pooled outcomes of interest included pain, disability, muscular strength, and adverse events. Sub-group analyses by duration of treatment (6-8 weeks; 12-16 weeks) were performed. Pooled results revealed no statistically significant differences in pooled pain, disability, muscle strength, or risk of adverse events between the two groups for the intervention duration of 6-8 weeks (p>0.05 for all). However, for treatment durations of 12-16 weeks, pooled disability, muscle strength, and risk of adverse events was statistically significantly in favour of the posterior chain training group compared to the general exercise group (p<0.05 for all).
