2018 AAOS Annual Meeting: Arthroscopic Debridement Versus Platelet-Rich Plasma Injection: A Prospective, Randomized, Comparative Study of Chronic Lateral Epicondylitis With a Nearly Two-Year Follow Up

OE Journal. 2018;6(5):10101 patients with lateral epicondylitis were randomized to either arthroscopic release of the extensor carpi radialis brevis or to platelet-rich plasma injections. Patients were assessed for pain, function, and grip strength over 104-week follow-up. While 8-week results for grip strength significantly favoured the PRP group compared to the arthroscopy group, 104-week results for pain, function, and grip strength all significantly favoured the arthroscopy group compared to the PRP group.
