Double-row rotator cuff repair demonstrates cost-efficacy vs single-row .
This study has been identified as potentially high impact.
OE's AI-driven High Impact metric estimates the influence a paper is likely to have by integrating signals from both the journal in which it is published and the scientific content of the article itself.
Developed using state-of-the-art natural language processing, the OE High Impact model more accurately predicts a study's future citation performance than journal impact factor alone.
This enables earlier recognition of clinically meaningful research and helps readers focus on articles most likely to shape future practice.
OrthoEvidence Journal (OE Journal) - ACE Report
OE Journal. 2018;6(3):6 J Bone Joint Surg Am. 2017 Oct 18;99(20):1730-173690 patients with a rotator cuff tear and scheduled for arthroscopic repair were randomized to either double-row or single-row repair. Cost and health utility data were collected as part of a cost-utility analysis comparing the two repair techniques. Despite higher estimated costs with double-row repair, the difference in quality-adjusted life years gained resulted in probabilities exceeding 85% for double-row repair being cost-effective compared to single-row repair at willingness-to-pay thresholds of $50,000 and $100,000CAD.
