Quadriceps Tendon ACL Reconstruction May Provide Success in High-Demand Athletes .
Quadriceps tendon autograft is gaining attention as an effective option for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, particularly in high-demand athletes. Emerging evidence suggests that this graft choice can provide strong biomechanical stability while supporting reliable return-to-sport outcomes. Compared with traditional graft options such as hamstring or bone–patellar tendon–bone grafts, the quadriceps tendon offers a large graft diameter and robust structural properties, which may contribute to improved graft durability. Clinical findings indicate favorable functional recovery and low failure rates among athletes undergoing reconstruction with this technique. These results highlight the growing role of quadriceps tendon autografts as a viable and increasingly popular option for ACL reconstruction in physically demanding populations.
