OrthoPediatrics Reaches 1,000 Implantations of its Paediatric Tibial Nail .

Implant design tailored to paediatric anatomy is gaining commercial traction. OrthoPediatrics announced that surgeons have performed 1,000 implantations using its Pediatric Nailing Platform Tibia System. Available in diameters ranging from 7 to 12 mm, the system includes smaller implants and fixation options designed to avoid the growth plate. Nearly one-fifth of implantations have involved the smallest nail. The milestone demonstrates product adoption, although it does not establish superiority over other fixation methods.
