Orthopaedic Surgeon - Australia

This all makes perfect sense However, I wish for your advice as how to counsel a patient in Australia who is vaccine hesitant Their risk of contracting COViD at present is negligible while Australia’s border policies remain as they are It is highly likely that a small number of those given AZ will become seriously ill and/or die as a result The only persuasive argument appears to be that widespread vaccination may allow the borders to open and avoid sudden lockdowns But it is very hard to argue that any individual will be less likely to become ill if they receive an AZ shot What would you say to them?
