Synopsis
964 patients, over the age of 60, with an intracapsular fracture of the hip and scheduled for hemiarthroplasty, were randomized to receive either a cemented, Exeter modular stem with a Unitrax femoral head, or to receive a cemented, Thompson monoblock stem.
