20 patients scheduled for revision total knee arthroplasty were randomized to either intraosseous regional administration or intravenous administration of prophylactic vancomycin. Intraoperative subcutaneous fat and femoral bone samples were taken. Results demonstrated significantly greater concentration of vancomycin in samples in the IORA group compared to the IV group.
